Print some Postcards

we'll have a lovely time

Join us for a few peaceful hours to slow down, and be creative.

There’s something special about taking time to use your hands to make, especially when it's for someone else.

A note, sent through the post, can really brighten someone's day.

Sitting around Hannah's table is all about connection, creativity, and a moment to breathe. You don’t need to be an artist. Hannah has prepared the templates to make it as easy as possible for you.

What You'll Do

You'll be using simple tools and materials to make a small batch of beautiful, hand-printed postcards. It’s calm, tactile, and incredibly satisfying.

1

choose a design

There’ll be a range of designs ready for you to look through;

some playful in bright colours,

some bold with simple designs

& some gentle inspired by nature & landscapes.

There are different levels of complexity and Hannah has given each design a star rating according to how easy or challenging the process is.

One star being the simplest, 5 star being the most complex.

In the 3 hour sessions, you will print using a set of pre-carved blocks.

2

mix some inks

Once you've chosen a design, it’s time to play with colour.

Mixing the inks is one of the best bits.

You’ll get to blend your own palette from richly pigmented, water-based inks which are lovely to work with.

Each colour has it's own recipe which makes the process super easy,

the colour you mix will be uniquely yours.

Hannah will guide you & show you how to get the colour balance just right helping you create a colour that feels perfect for your project.

3

print your postcards

Now it’s time to bring your postcard to life.

You’ll roll ink onto your design, line up your card, and press everything down transferring the ink onto the card's surface. Each print will have its own little quirks and character and that’s part of the beauty of doing things by hand.

Remember we are aiming for perfectly imperfect here...

that's the best thing about hand made... it's been made by you.

You’ll make six postcards, each one becoming a tiny piece of art that’s ready to send out into the world or keep for yourself if they’re too lovely to part with.

step 4

write your postcards

Once your prints are dry, you’ll sit down with a pen and write.

It can be a note to someone you’ve been thinking of, a thank-you or a simple hello.

It doesn’t need to be grand or poetic, just a few honest words can mean the world to someone you love.

There will be lovely colourful pens to write with.

Hannah will have some stamps* at the ready so your artwork can whizz off through the post, ready to be posted through your loved ones letter box, brightening their day.

*please let Hannah know if your destination is outside of the UK, as the postage will differ.
