Let me introduce the newest printing technique... dry-point.
Using thin sheets of plastic, the flowers are inscribed onto the surface.
It's so easy & quick because the hard part has already been done ... the drawing.
Once that's been done, you are effectively tracing.
Notice the artwork is in reverse... that's because when we print it will be the right way around.
On this design I added to the print afterwards with watercolour...
But for some designs, I used just ink.
I found that oil based works best for this technique.
I love the effect the ink creates.
Each print will be slightly different which is nice... remember we're aiming for perfectly imperfect.
I think we've nailed it with this.
It's a quiet, subtle technique, with loads of character.
