One to one session 1.5 hours.

Introduction

art as a therapeutic practice

the first 4x sessions have been designed & created to allow you the best possible outcome.

1

Play with colour...

let's mix some inks.

In this session you will simply mix colours.

That's it.

Hannah has created a specific colour palette of unique recipes.

You will pick 5 colours which make you feel good.

We'll discuss what you like about them, and then together, we'll mix them.

You see, all the colours which Hannah uses for Feel Good Make are blended. It's a lesson in faith and belief that all will be well... as well as accepting that sometimes things don't always turn out as you thought. After all these are hand blended, so they won't be identical.

They will be uniquely yours.

2

Words...

together we'll consider words which make you feel good.

We'll choose just one word which lifts your spirits or makes you feel good & carve it into a relief printing tool.

Then we'll print some cards to send to friends or loved ones.

For me it would be 'nice'.

I chose the word 'nice' because of the poet Michael Rosen. He wrote a poem about potatoes being a bit hot, and it makes me smile every time I hear it.

I wonder which word you will choose?

3

Lines...

simple & repetitive.

In this project, we are going to focus on drawing or carving lines.

Straight lines.

It will be interesting to see how this makes you feel?

4

Where you live...

inspiration is on your doorstep.

Find something that makes you smile, lifts your heart or makes you feel good when you look at it, in the area where you live.

Take a walk and look at your local area through the eyes of someone from a far away country.

What might they see that you don't?

Take some pictures or make notes, whichever you prefer.

Bring these to the session and we'll discuss how we can use them as inspiration for an art project.
